Volunteers of India Against Corruption (IAC) and alleged Congress workers clashed in front of a power discom office at RK Puram in South Delhi on Tuesday.
However, chief minister’s parliamentary secretary Mukesh Sharma said it was a clash between two groups and the Congress party had nothing to do with it.
Police sources said IAC volunteers, as part of their citywide agitation, were distributing pamphlets, holding the Delhi government responsible for the ‘power woes’.
“This didn’t go down too well with another group and, after a heated exchange of words, a clash ensued. A few persons from both sides sustained injuries,” said a police officer.
Those involved in the clash were taken to the sector 12 police station. They were let off later. Police have registered complaints from both sides.
