Indian School celebrates Literary Week

The Indian School, Sadiq Nagar celebrated Literary Week which was graced by Vice Chairperson, Nayana Goradia and Madhavi Divan. The event was based on the theme of ‘Silk Route’.

The Indian School,Sadiq Nagar celebrated Literary Week which was graced by Vice Chairperson, Nayana Goradia and Madhavi Divan. The event was based on the theme of ‘Silk Route’ where students presented various tales such as Jataka, folk and Chinese Tales. A description of Italy in Sanskrit, and a French song ‘Alouette’, along with self description ‘Moi-meme’. The event included a performance, ‘the Bard’ based on Shakespeare’s ‘The Merchant of Venice’, followed by renditions of Yeats ‘Byzantium’ and ‘Sailing to Byzantium’.

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash echoed with laughter and joy as ‘Shera’ the mascot of the Common Wealth Games 2010, paid a visit. Students of Classes I to V met with Shera at an interactive session where they were given information and quizzed on their knowledge of the upcoming Games.

Delhi Public School, Rohini hosted its Scholar Badge and Award Function for the Middle school. Principal, Rita Sen felicitated the Chief Guest, Pankaj Vohra, Political Editor, Hindustan Times. Prizes and awards were given to the students excelling in academics. On the occasion, students presented a dance recital ‘Arpan’.

St. Thomas’ Girls Sr. Sec. School, Mandir Marg celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, ‘Anandodhara’, a fusion of music and dance. Distinguished guests like Prof. Bhattacharya, V-C JNU and the renowned dancer, Uma Sharma graced the occasion. Principal, Anuradha Amos welcomed the gathering and Manager, C. Manohran felicitated the producers.
