Indraprastha World school celebrates Annual Day

Indraprastha World School, Paschim Vihar celebrated the Annual Day, where Director- Principal, Dr Hassija accorded a welcome to chief guest, Minister of Education, Arvinder Singh Lovely; guest of honour S. Senadhira, Minister Counsellor, High Commission of Sri Lanka. Chairman and chairperson, Mr and Mrs AS Rana graced the occasion.

Indraprastha World School, Paschim Vihar celebrated the Annual Day, where Director- Principal, Dr Hassija accorded a welcome to chief guest, Minister of Education, Arvinder Singh Lovely; guest of honour S. Senadhira, Minister Counsellor, High Commission of Sri Lanka. Chairman and chairperson, Mr and Mrs AS Rana graced the occasion.

Head Boy and Head Girl presented the annual report. The cultural extravaganza included a dramatisation of Dr Faustus, an English classic and a dance-drama in Hindi, Delhi- Itihas Ke Jharokhon Se. Vice-principal Shikha Arora offered the vote of thanks to the gathering.

Tagore International School, East of Kailash, celebrated Founder's Day over two days commemorating the 150th birth anniversary year of Rabindranath Tagore, a memorable cultural experience to savour for a long time. On the first day, students presented Tagore's musical composition 'Riturang' which was an enthralling description of the six seasons, bringing out their diversity as reflected in the many colours of nature. Principal, Suman Nath welcomed chief guest M Daniel Rignault, Attaché for cooperation in Education, French Embassy, and guests of honour, Dr Kiran Chaudhary and Dr Abhijit Karkun, both professors at Centre for French and Francophone Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, JNU. On the second day, students of senior school presented 'Odyssey'- a musical journey into the life and works of Tagore spanning different periods of his life from 1861-1941. Chief Guest, Dr Dinesh Singh, vice-chancellor, Delhi University, gave away the prestigious True Tagorean Awards. Ullas Chattopadhaya, deputy resident commissioner, Govt of West Bengal and Kajal

Ghosh, Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee were the guests of honour. The annual report was presented by the Head Boy and Head Girl.

Laxman Public School, Hauz Khas, held its Annual Day and Prize Distribution ceremony by holding Sports Excelsia. Principal Dr Usha Ram along with the chairperson Shyama Laxman Agarwal welcomed the chief guest, Ajay Maken, minister of state for home affairs, the guest of honour, Sayan Chatterjee, IAS, Director General, Sports Authority of India and the special guest, Anita Satia, DDE South District. Besides athletic events, students impressed everyone with their musically synchronized performance in Mass Drill, Taekwondo, Yoga, Commando Drill, Lezim, Street Dancing, Aerobics, Dandia and Naga Dance. Dr Usha Ram presented the Annual Report along with the Head Girl and Head Boy of the school. Students were awarded for their excellent performance in academics, sports, cultural and literary activities.
