IPS officer's Sarojini Nagar house burgled

Burglars broke into the house of an IPS officer in Sarojini Nagar area of south Delhi on Wednesday and fled with cash and jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh.

Burglars broke into the house of an IPS officer in Sarojini Nagar area of south Delhi on Wednesday and fled with cash and jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh.


Police said officer Vijay Raghav Pant is posted in Dehradun while his wife, who is an IRS officer, lives in the Capital.

"The house is located at West Kidwai Nagar. Pant's wife Ruchika Pant, who is posted at Export Promotional Council, had left for office in the morning. When she returned in the evening around 5:30pm, she found the house ransacked," a senior police officer requesting anonymity said.

A case of theft has been registered at the Sarojini Nagar police station and further investigations are on.
