The condition of 22-year-old Jawaharlal Nehru University student Roshini Gupta is stable, said doctors at Safdarjung Hospital.

She is responding well to treatment, but isn’t yet out of danger, they said.

“Her head injuries are critical,” said a doctor.

A CT scan done on Saturday morning revealed that the blood clot in her brain had dissolved.

“It will take at least two weeks to assess her condition fully and take a decision. She will be kept in the ICU till Sunday at least,” added the doctor.

Roshini was brutally attacked with an axe at the JNU campus by her classmate, causing heavy injuries on the skull.
