As soon as the House assembled, members of the BJP, Shiv Sena, AIADMK and BJD rushed to the well demanding setting up of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for probing the 2G scam.
After initial hesitation, members of the SP also joined the opposition in the well in the thinly attended Lok Sabha.
Shafiq-ur-Rehman Barq (BSP) was seen raising slogans demanding action against those involved in the demolition of the Babri mosque on this day in 1992.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar made repeated appeals to members to allow the House to function citing that it was the last week of the Winter Session of Parliament.
With members unrelenting, the Speaker adjourned the House till noon.
Unlike most of the last week, Congress members remained in their seats watching the Opposition protests.
