Madanlal Khurana to remain in ICU for two days
Former chief minister of Delhi, Madan Lal Khurana, 75, who underwent a brain surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Sunday, following a fall in the bathroom, is recovering well in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital.

“He is stable post-operation. Though he is still on ventilator, he has partially regained consciousness,” said Dr Satnam Singh Chhabra, senior consultant, department of neurosurgery at the hospital, who led the two-member surgical team.
“He needs to be under observation in the ICU for two more days,” Chhabra added.
Khurana had suffered brain haemorrhage after slipping in the bathroom of his house on Sunday morning.
He was unconscious when brought to the hospital in the afternoon.
“The CT scan showed a large collection of blood in the left side of his brain, what we medically call subdural aematoma. It was a significantly big clot that was shifting the brain to the opposite side,” said Dr Chhabra.
The surgery lasted for two hours. The CT scan conducted on Monday was clean. “The recovery may take longer due to his old age, but he is stable, as of now,” said Dr Chhabra.
