Though some departments have already started to use the new campus, the whole building will be complete and functional by the coming session.

The new building is built over an area of 10 acres and is equipped with all modern facilities such as a media centre with all equipment for video production, multi-media enabled classrooms and a fully air conditioned library.

The college was started from a school building in 1994. There is also some good news for the girls of the college, a girls hostel with a capacity of around 50 students will also be made functional from the coming session.

"Getting a paying guest accommodation was very difficult in the area. Unlike North Campus, there are not many private girls' hostels here. The hostel is going to be a big boon for students," said Shivangi Verma, a second year BCom student at the college.

Students earlier had to make do with cramped classrooms and laboratories in the small campus that they had in Mayur Vihar. They will now have a two storey air conditioned library with more than 25,000 books.

"We have also decided to make the computer lab, physics lab and electronics lab air conditioned. The chemistry lab was not included in this plan for safety reasons," said Niraj Singh, associate professor in the college.

The new campus is closest to the New Ashok Nagar and Noida Sector 15 Metro stations. While students have already started using some parts of the campus and annual examination are being held there, the formal inauguration of the campus is yet to take place.
