The Noida administration has asked the shopping mall managers and cyber café-owners to be extra vigilant, given the spate of terrorist attacks in different parts of the country. The administration has found several security lapses in these establishments.

At a meeting on Monday with the mall managers, the administration said that it had found CCTV cameras were not functioning in some places, while in others, security guards were not properly checking the visitors’ bags. Cyber cafes were found allowing visitors to use their facilities without verifying their ID proof.

The malls managers have been asked to spruce up their security arrangements by July 31.
