After her historic win in the Assembly elections in West Bengal, which saw the Congress-Trinamool combine trouncing the Left which ruled the state for three decades, Banerjee had met Gandhi at her residence in May this year and handed over a bouquet of red roses to the Congress president, who was seen putting her arm around Banerjee's shoulder.
Meanwhile, Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao today began an 11-day long religious ritual at his official residence here praying for the speedy recovery and long life of Gandhi, who underwent a surgey abroad on Thursday.
Rao is a Rajya Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh.

Gandhi was yesterday moved out of the ICU of the hospital where she underwent the surgery. There was no official update from the party today on the medical condition of Gandhi.
