A 60 year old man who allegedly helped a Pakistani agent procure an Indian passport was arrested by the special cell of Delhi Police on Friday.

The accused identified as Nafees Ahmed, a resident of Lucknow, had allegedly helped Abdul Jabbar, an ISI agent who was arrested in November last year get an Indian passport, police said.

Ahmed was on the run for the past eight months and a reward of Rs 25,000 has been declared on his arrest.

Jabbar was apprehended at IGI Airport while trying to flee to Dammam in UAE. Sensitive documents pertaining to Indian Air Force were recovered from his possession.

"Ahmed had arranged forged ration card, mark sheet and school leaving certificate on which a passport for Jabbar was made from Lucknow. He also provided shelter to Ahmed during his stay in Lucknow," said Shibesh Singh, additional deputy commissioner of police (Special Cell). Three other accused in the case have already been arrested.
