A man was arrested for allegedly trying to barge in the official bungalow of minister of state of Food Processing Industries on Sunday, the police said.

When stopped, the accused also allegedly assaulted the personal security officer (PSO) of the minister.

The incident was reported on Sunday night, around 10 p.m. when the accused identified as Manmohan had come to meet the minister. The MoS, Subodh Kant Sahay, was not home when the incident took place. The accused tried to enter the 11, Akbar Road bungalow of the minister.
“(PSO) Ram Swaroop told us that the accused wanted to enter the bungalow with his vehicle. He kept on honking at the gates,” said a senior police officer.
