A 44-year-old man was robbed and dumped by three men in south Delhi’s Sunlight colony area on Monday. S Sriram, an account manager with a private company, had sought a lift from a private van. Around 9:30pm, Sriram was waiting for a bus at Sarai Kale Khan, when a van offered to drop him at his destination.

“Sriram was made to sit on the rear seat along with three other passengers, who later turned out to be acquaintances of the driver. As the vehicle moved, the three men attacked Sriram, robbing him of Rs 7000 and other valuables,” said police.

The robbers dumped him at the inter-state bus terminus in Kashmiri Gate and fled. A passerby noticed the victim and informed the police. A case of robbery has been registered and further investigations are on. Last week also a 60-year-old man was robbed in a similar way.
