A 23-year-old MBA student allegedly committed suicide in his rented accommodation in the national capital, police said on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Mukhender Kumar, a final year student of Delhi Business School.
Kumar, who hails from Uttar Pradesh and is the son of a National Thermal Power Corporation employee Jamuna Ram, was living in Badarpur Extension.
The incident came to light on Saturday when his landlord peeped into his room through a window after Kumar's friends informed him that he was not responding to the knocks on the door.
Police was informed and Kumar was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The reason for his taking the extreme step was not immediately known. He did not leave any suicide note.
His father told the police that he spoke to Kumar on Friday night and the youth did not show any signs of stress or depression.
The body has been sent to AIIMS for post mortem which will be conducted tomorrow.
