A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team, which is probing the disappearance of Mahant Shankardev, has questioned yoga guru Ramdev’s aide Balkrishna to seek clarifications about facts related to the incident.

Shankardev, who was the mentor of Ramdev and Balkrishna, had disappeared under mysterious circumstances on July 14, 2007, when he allegedly went for his morning walk but never returned to his Kankhal ashram in Haridwar. The agency suspects he could have been abducted, according to the source. Balkrishna had lodged a FIR after Shankardev went missing.

Balkrishna was asked to explain if there was an alleged delay in intimating the police about Shankardev’s missing status. “He was questioned after our team had recreated the crime scene at Divya Yog Mandir Trust. If required we will seek clarifications from him again,” sources said.
