A 26-year-old woman was allegedly molested by three drunk men on Tuesday night.

The Capital is unsafe for women, so this comes as no surprise. But what is shocking about this incident is that it happened on AIIMS campus.

Investigations by AIIMS authorities revealed that one of them is allegedly a junior doctor at the institute and two others are outsiders.

The car the three men were using was also traced outside Hostel number 1 of AIIMS.

The woman lodged a complaint with the AIIMS Deputy Director on Thursday. She claimed three men, who claimed to be doctors, stopped her car when she was leaving the hospital. She had come to meet her relative.

“I was returning after visiting my uncle who is admitted in the cardiology department. The three doctors, who were in a car, stopped my vehicle, two of them got out and then they molested me,” the woman said in her complaint. HT has a copy of the complaint.

She added that she drove towards the cardio ward to save herself and ran into the building. She hid herself on one of the floors.

“I informed the security guard that some men were following me. He did not budge. I went and hid myself on one of the floors. I stayed there for 15-20 minutes and left only when I saw the three men leave,” she said in her complaint.

On Thursday, AIIMS authorities conducted an independent inquiry and traced the car used by the three men.

“We have located the car and are questioning the owner. We suspect that our students could also be involved,” said Shailesh Yadav, deputy director, AIIMS.

“If that is the case we will take strict action against them and will hand them over to the police.”
Sources confirmed that one of the men involved in the crime was a junior doctor at AIIMS.

Police said they were waiting for AIIMS authorities to complete their inquiry and would take action after that.
