A year after 20-year-old engineering student Shobhit Modi was found killed a few metres away from his Vasant Kunj house, his parents are still waiting for justice.

The Modis have shifted out of the flat to another house in December 2011, six months after Shobhit was killed.

"We were not able to live in the same house where we were living with Shobhit. There were too many memories attached to that house and every time we went to his room, we started crying," said Suraj Modi, Shobhit's father. To pay homage to Shobhit, the family still goes to Vasant Kunj at the 5th of every month. http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2012/5/05_05_12-metro3b.jpg

"It was our way of remembering him so that he doesn't feel that we have forgotten him. Shobhit's room had his palm prints and many other paintings made by him. Every thing at his room used to remind us about him and we had started missing him all the more. We will again go to that house on Saturday," Modi, a general manager with Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India (MMTC) added.

Modi's only regret is that his son's killers are still at large. In an interesting turn to the investigations in the case last month, Modi had received a call from someone claming that he knows about Shobhit's killer. "He had informed us and immediately a team was rushed to Haryana, from where the call was made. The phone was found in possession of an ice cream vendor who said someone had borrowed his phone to make a call. We are now looking for that person," a senior crime branch officer said.

"The investigations are on and we are trying to verify the call details," Ashok Chand, additional CP (crime) said.
