Brace for traffic jams in Connaught Place and ITO as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is organising a rally at Ramlila Maidan around noon on Wednesday.

The organisers said the rally may cause traffic congestion in New Delhi and central Delhi. A number of buses are likely to be diverted.

The traffic police have advised motorists to avoid these roads around noon.

"We have made arrangements to minimise inconvenience to the public but motorists should avoid roads leading to the venue," said Satyendra Garg, joint commissioner of police (traffic).

Buses and heavy vehicles coming from Rajghat and bound for Ajmeri Gate will be diverted to Bahadur Shah Marg.

Buses coming from Connaught Place/Minto Bridge and going towards Kamla Market will be diverted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. No buses will be allowed on the Ranjit Singh flyover too.
