According to AAP sources, the entire process of selecting the candidates will be complete by July so that candidates have adequate time for campaigning. Those who are being called for the interview had applied for it and it will be held in Kaushambi.

The party had already announced a list of prospective candidates for the 12 assembly seats last week which included names of party’s founder Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, media personality and AAP member Shazia Ilmi and others.

Sources said the new list of candidates will have approximately 50 names.

Sisodia said that a number of people had applied and they have now been called for the interview which includes many factors such as clean image, “winnability” and knowledge of the constituency from where they want to contest etc.
