Tsewang Topden, the current High Commissioner to Namibia has been appointed the next Ambassador to Greece.

Tsewang Topden, the current High Commissioner to Namibia has been appointed the next Ambassador to Greece. D.N. Srivastava, presently ambassador of India to Democratic Republic of Congo, has been concurrently accredited as the ambassador of India to Central African Republic and Republic of Congo with residence in Kinshasa.

Dubai businessman on Air India board
Dubai-based expatriate businessman Yusuff Ali M.A. is expected to joint Air India as its fifth independent board member. The company’s board was expanded in March and four new independent directors had been appointed – Anand Mahindra, Amit Mitra, Harsh Neotia and Fali H. Major.

Justice dept secretary transferred
Bhupinder Prasad, the first full-fledged Secretary of the Justice department, has been transferred within three months of being appointed to the post. The 1976-batch IAS officer, Prasad will be replaced by Kerala Chief Secretary Neela Gangadharan. Prasad earlier held the post of special secretary in the department when it was under the Home Ministry. From this year, the department that deals with judicial appointments and finances of courts has been brought under Law Ministry.

Planning panel member secretary
The government may make senior-most Indian Administrative Service (IAS) official Sudha Pillai, presently secretary Planning Commission, as new plan panel’s member secretary after her retirement in April end. She could not become cabinet secretary as the government decided to extend the term of incumbent K.M. Chandrasekhar for a year. If she becomes member secretary, it could mean a couple of more years in the government, as there is no fixed term for the commission’s member secretary.
