No bookings at city hotels

The Commonwealth Games are just three days away but hotels in the city are yet to get bookings. Some hotels have even reported cancellations.

“Things remain as gloomy as they were a month back. We hardly have any bookings. Looks likes we are headed for disaster,” said Rajendra Kumar, director, Ambassador Hotel, and president of Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India.

Kumar added that with so much negative publicity surrounding the Games, and the traffic chaos, the hotels are not getting even regular tourists.
“The bookings from the Games have been negligible; there have been a few cancellations of bookings we got a month back,” said a manager at The Park, Delhi.
