A meeting of the highest decision making body of Delhi Technology University (DTU) convened specially on Friday failed to break the deadlock between the students and administration.

Though the Board of Management (BOM) explained to the students the rationale behind the conversion of the institution from a college to a state university, the latter were not satisfied, as they first wanted the board to remove Vice-Chancellor P.B Sharma from his post.

The BOM also resolved that those who do not appear in the rescheduled mid-semester examination on March 29 will forfeit their marks and no further opportunity will be given to them.

Meanwhile, the students held a protest march at Janpath where they were joined by students of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT).

The students have been staging demonstration since March 4 to protest against the conversion of their institution into a university.
