Thousands of commuters, who spend several minutes every day at the Sector 37 Crossing, can heave a sigh of relief only in March 2012. The proposed flyover and underpass, which has already been delayed by two months due to the Commonwealth Games, is likely to get ready in the coming two years.

After completion, traffic coming from Delhi via Kalindi Kunj and headed towards sectors 37, 39, 40, 41, 51, 53, 62 and Indirapuram, will enjoy seamless flow.
Also, Noida residents going to South Delhi areas like Sarita Vihar and Nehru Place via the Kalindi Kunj bridge will benefit.

At the Sector 37 Golf Course Crossing, a 600-metre-long two-lane underpass and 750-metre-long single-lane flyover has been planned. The total project cost, which was an estimated Rs 47 crore in 2007, has now risen to Rs 70 crore.

“The contract has been awarded to NKG Infrastructure. It is targeted to be operational by December 2011,” AK Goel, senior project engineer, said.
