Not offered money to join BJP, will sue Kejriwal, says AniDl Bajpai
Accusing the BJP of indulging in horse-trading, Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday had alleged that seven AAP MLAs had been offered Rs 10 crore each to join the BJP. The charge was denied by the BJP.
Gandhi Nagar MLA Anil Bajpai, who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)on Sunday said that he would file a defamation case against Delhi chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal if the CM does not tender an apology for his “false” allegations of he being offered money to switch sides. Bajpai denied the allegation that he was offered money to join BJP.
During a press conference held at the Delhi BJP office, Bajpai said, “Kejriwal has alleged that BJP purchased me, I challenge him that he should apologise within three days otherwise I will file a defamation case against him.”
He also alleged that chief minister Kejriwal had used a “derogatory” word for him during a meeting recently, which triggered his dissension within the party. Kejriwal, during a press conference at the AAP headquarters on Sunday, had claimed that his MLAs were “being bought”. He added, “a few days ago, one of our MLAs was bought”. However, Kejriwal did not name any MLA. The BJP refuted the claim. Bajpai also alleged that the AAP was playing the “politics of appeasement”.
AAP national spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj was not available for a comment despite repeated attempts.
