In the past nine years since it started operating, Delhi Metro has become the most enduring symbol of the national capital. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has now ensured that you can take that image and the experience home, as a souvenir, by introducing a collection of 'Photographs of the Delhi Metro' for its visitors including tourists and commuters.

The collection of 10 picture postcards will be initially available at the Metro Museum at Patel Chowk station.

"The pictures show Delhi Metro from different angles which are never experienced or observed by a common man," said a DMRC spokesman. These photographs come in a set of 10 high-quality post card format pictures of size 7' X 5', the spokesman added.

"Ever since the opening of the Metro Museum in January 2009, we have been receiving a lot of requests from visitors for photos of the Metro train and the surroundings of Metro stations," he said.

"The postcards have space on the back to write a message and send it to your near and dear ones after affixing a postage stamp," the spokesman added.

To be put on sale from Tuesday (May 24) at the Metro Museum, the postcards will be available for R90 for the whole set of 10 photographs and Rs9 for single postcards.

The souvenir shops at Metro Museum also stock other souvenirs like toy trains, key chains, pens, snakes & ladder, ludo, ties, cufflinks, etc.
