Within a month of municipal elections in the city, councillor Nisha Singh is all set to roll out an online citizen s’forum to address civic and infrastructure problems in ward number 30.
Expected to be operational by next week, the forum will invite all residents to post their problems along with suggestive solutions.
The technical team of backroom boys and girls include Singh’s supporters and much to her delight, they have not charged a single dime to put together the portal.
A team of three people are now working towards this social cause for better redressal of civic complaints.
They are Parul Mittal, an IIT Delhi graduate, Manoj Khera, an MCA qualified engineer and Jyoti Bhargava, an HR consultant.
“Nisha came to me with a proposal of a portal through which she could manage the constituency efficiently. So, we put together a system wherein residents would be able to post their problems along with the pictures to substantiate their claims. Through this mechanism, the councillor can keep a tab on new updates in her ward after which she can also prioritise things. The forum will enable three-way communication among residents — residents to councillor and from councillor to residents," said Mittal.
The newly elected councillor too has pinned high hopes and is looking forward to a positive response form residents.
