India and Pakistan will take their dialogue process further when Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi visits New Delhi on June 27, marking second high-level contact between the two countries in over a month.
Three days prior to Qureshi's visit, the joint Anti-Terror Mechanism (ATM) of the two countries will meet here to discuss collaboration in fighting the scourge, which Pakistan also now accepts as a "common concern".
Qureshi, undertaking his first visit here as Foreign Minister, will hold talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on a wide range of bilateral issues.
The two sides will be looking at ways to take forward the peace process and dialogue process and consider various proposals in this regard.
Pakistan wants the engagement between the two countries to go beyond confidence building measures and focus on "dispute resolutions".
Qureshi is also expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition L K Advani during his stay here. He is also likely to travel to Taj Mahal.
Prior to the Foreign Ministerial talks, the ATM will meet on June 24 during which the Indian side is expected to furnish evidence about cross-border linkages to various terror incidents, include Ajmer and Hyderabad bomb blasts, that took place in this country.
This will be the third meeting of the mechanism, set up in November 2006 in the aftermath of serial blasts in Mumbai trains.
