Police arrest notorious sharpshooter of Naeem gang

Police have recovered one country-made pistol and two live cartridges from his possession. The Pulsar motorbike on which he was travelling was also seized.
Speaking to the media, Alok Kumar, DCP Special Cell said they received information that Yogesh would come near a service station to meet his associate. On the basis of the information, a trap was laid and around 3.20 pm police apprehended him.
During sustained interrogation, Yogesh disclosed he started his criminal career in 1999, when he along with his associates Appu, Sunil and Rajesh killed a panshop owner in Mandawali. He was arrested and put behind the bars. In Tihar Jail, he came in contact with Shamim Bhagat, a member of the Naeem gang and joined the gang then.
The gang has been involved with killings of associates of the Anwar Thakur gang.
The police said due to intense rivalry between the gangs, about half a dozen gangsters have been killed and several cases of attempt to murder have been registered.
Yogesh revealed he got information that Salim Roti, a member of the Anwar Thakur gang, had killed the Shamim, leader of Naeem gang. Shamim’s brother decided to avenge the death and they managed to kill two members of the Anwar Thakur gang, Dilshad and Irshad.
