Police nab two for kidnapping
Delhi Police have arrested two men for kidnapping a four-year-old boy, in Nabi Karim area of central Delhi, reports HT Correspondent.
Delhi Police have arrested two men for kidnapping a four-year-old boy, in Nabi Karim area of central Delhi. The accused worked for the child’s father Mohammed Sabbir. They hatched the conspiracy to kidnap the boy to supposedly solve some financial problems.
Sabbir lodged a complaint at the Nabi Karim police station after Mohammed Ali, his son, went missing on December 11. “Ali was playing outside his house at around 5.30 p.m. on December 11 when he went missing. His father received a call the next day that his son had been kidnapped. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh,” said Jaspal Singh, Deputy Commisioner of Police, Central.
Police accompanied Sabbir to the spot where he was supposed to deliver the ransom money to the kidnappers.
They arrested one man from there and then raided the house of his accomplice from whose custody the boy was recovered.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Azam and Tabir Ahmed, natives of Bihar.
