Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar on Tuesday favoured the force remaining under the Union Government as issues could arise if it is under the city government.

Addressing a seminar 'Safety and Security: Need for Police Reforms', he said, "There could be a situation when two different parties are in power at Centre and state. If police were to be with the state government number of issues will arise."

There have been demands from Sheila Dikshit-led government that Delhi Police be brought under its control sans certain wings like security.
