The President of India, Pratibha Patil, has received threat e-mails during her on-going Pune visit. The Delhi Police taking no chances have started their investigations.

The mails were sent at around 12:30 pm to the president from a gmail ID.

Around 12 e-mails were received which consisted of not more than a few lines. Abusive language was also used in the e-mails.

According to sources, the case has been transferred to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police who have started their investigations.
