A priest, who, along with his wife, allegedly kidnapped two minor children and sold them off for Rs 10,000, was denied bail by a Delhi court on Wednesday.

“In view of the seriousness of the allegations and the role attributed to the accused person, who along with his wife had hatched a plan and kidnapped minor children for earning quick money by selling them... No ground for bail is made,” Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau said.

Bhudeo Nagar, a priest in a temple in Kalkaji area, was arrested on May 25 from Etah district in Uttar Pradesh and his relative’s children, Soni (8) and Bobby (5), were rescued from his custody following a raid at a house in village there.
