Khaitan Public School, Noida, celebrated its annual prize distribution and cultural function. Principal SL Gupta welcomed the distinguished guests. Chairman Gangesh Khaitan, in his address, highlighted the achievements of the students. More than 300 students were honoured with proficiency awards and scholarships by chief guest Mohan Singh, member of Rajya Sabha and guest of honour Kanupriya, celebrated media person. The primary section of the school presented a musical ‘The Selfish Giant’ — an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s famous fairy tale, while the senior section through the ballet ‘Kavyanjali’ traced the poetry of various Poets of Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit.
Amity International School, Noida, held the primary annual sports day, ‘Fitness Fiesta —Panchatatva’. Chief guest, His Excellency Dr. Sead Avdic, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India; guest of honour Zafar Iqbal, GM, CE Air India and former Indian hockey captain; Amita Chauhan chairperson, Amity International, and various other distinguished guests graced the occasion. The meet commenced with the march past. Shubh Arahbh heralded the releasing of pigeons and balloons, thereby declaring the meet open. Sports captain Arinjay Chaudhary lit the torch while Sports captain Rhea Verma administered the oath. Principal Renu Singh gave the welcome address. The event included various fun races, drills and displays.
Rockfield Public School, Rohini, organised ‘Rockathon’, a cross-country run under-14 years to mark the launch of its project ‘Ahsaas’, an emotional experience of accompaniment to our elderly where around 6,000-7,000 students all across northern India participated. The girls and boys run were flagged off by actress Karishma Kapoor and Commonwealth Games wrestling champion, Sushil Kumar. The big celebrities from sports, politics and Bollywood also showed their concern for the cause by being part of the event.
Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan celebrated its annual day and felicitated students who had done exceptionally well in various fields. Chief guest for the function was major general BK Chopra, AVSM, Commandant, Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. The senior students presented a gripping play which had the unique distinction of being directed and scripted by the students themselves while the junior students gave a dance performance.
Principal Scaria NO presented the school report. The function concluded with a lively interactive session among the parents, guests and teachers.
