Engineers of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) have written to Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna to review the authority's recruitment rules to take care of the stagnation in promotions.

"It takes 25 years for a junior engineer to get promoted to the post of assistant engineer. Also, all senior posts such as superintending engineers and chief engineers are filled up by engineers taken on deputation from other government agencies," said a member of All DDA Engineer's Association.
