Protest against cops, Nanda outside magnate’s home

About hundred people gathered outside the residence of Anil Nanda whose employee was allegedly set ablaze at Nanda’s bungalow in Friends Colony (West) on June 9. He died with 85 percent burns on June 16.

About hundred people gathered outside the residence of Anil Nanda whose employee was allegedly set ablaze at Nanda’s bungalow in Friends Colony (West) on June 9. He died with 85 percent burns on June 16.

“About hundred people of the association, led by one SP Singh, gathered at Nanda’s home at about 12 noon to protest against police authorities for inaction,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity.

SP Singh, the president of the association said, “The police are not taking proper action in the case and Nanda should be apprehended now.”

Yogesh Sharma, Sharma's brother who had also come for the protest said, “The cops are not doing their responsibility properly.”

Archana, Janeshwar’s wife alsaid, “I do not know why police are taking so much time.”

The Delhi police had said that Anil Nanda was present in the house when Sharma was allegedly set on fire.
