The organisers of the 'India Against Corruption' campaign would hold public consultations at various places across Delhi on Sunday to create awareness and get feedback from the masses for the jan lokpal bill.
Social leader Swami Agnivesh would be holding the consultation at Narela. The other places where similar consultation would be held are Rohini and Shahdara, a statement from the organisers said.
After a massive people's movement clubbed with a fast-unto-death by social activist Anna Hazare in April first week, the government agreed for a joint drafting committee for a stringent lokpal bill.
The movement proponents wish to engage masses and also get their feedback for the bill, the draft for which is being currently prepared by the committee comprising five government ministers and five civil society representatives, including Hazare.
The consultations would be held at Narela at 11am, Rohini at 4pm and at Shahdara at 11.30am, respectively. Partici-pants at the consultation would be described in detail, the various provisions of the jan Lokpal bill, which the organisers claim, is much stringent than the earlier draft proposed by the government.
The meetings would also entertain any and every query raised by the masses and also seek suggestions from them to improve on the current draft of the jan lokpal, which has already been revised for a dozen times to incorporate meaningful suggestions from the public.
