Dholpur-based firm Rajasthan Explosives and Chemicals Ltd (RECL) on Monday sought to dissociate itself from the sensational disappearance of 61 trucks laden with explosives between April and July.

The disappearance of the trucks laden with nearly 400 tonne explosives that never reach their destination in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, was reported by HT on August 13.

RECL director K Edward Kelly said in a press note on Monday that none of the missing trucks belonged to the company but were owned by the buyer, Ganesh Magazine, based in Sagar, according to documents examined by RECL.

Kelly also said RECL had followed all legal and procedural formalities before the explosives were loaded on the trucks.
