BJP Member Prabhat Jha on Thursday raising the issue of over 2500 missing children in Delhi and its neighbourhood in Rajya Sabha said, “I believe a new Nithari is in the making.”

He said people have not forgotten the Nithari episode, which had shaken the whole country. Organs of children are sold, including their eyes and kidneys, despite a law stating that only close relatives of patients can give organs, he said.

Fourteen children went missing from Anand Vihar colony between January 22 and February 10 this year. Ten children seem to be missing from each neighbourhood.

There were 550 children missing from the Northeast district.

He said the police were trying to hide their own negligence by saying the cases were of elopement. “How can a seven-year-old child be in love, he will only love his mother,” he said.

Several other members like Jaya Bachchan (SP), Brinda Karat (CPM), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP) and Rudra Narayan Pany (BJP) associated themselves with the issue.

Deputy chairman said the whole House associates with this matter.
