While the buildings of 13 circle offices would be repaired and new modular furniture and computers added, 26 such offices "which are being run from rented premises" will also get new furniture and computers.

The expenditure and finance committee of the Delhi Cabinet cleared the proposal in a meeting on Tuesday. More than 25 lakh ration cardholders visit these offices every year.

The committee has also decided to release R11.05 crore for construction of a pucca building for a government school at Khichripur in east Delhi. The work will be completed within 24 months.
