Even the rains have not managed to cool down the tempers of Delhiites, as the city witnessed yet another case of road rage.
This time, the owner of a chartered bus in East Delhi allegedly shot at a 28-year-old man when the two met with an accident.
According to police, the owner of the bus hit the motorcycle of the victim after which the two got into an argument.
The police said that the incident took place in New Ashok Nagar at around 10:00 pm on Monday.
The police said the victim suffered gunshot injuries and was taken to a near by hospital in a PCR. After treatment he was declared out of danger.
According to police the victim Sanjay Kumar who runs a placement agency in Mayur Vihar phase III, was on way back to his house in Madhu Vihar on his motorcycle when the speeding bus hit him.
"The bus hit him from behind and he fell. But he managed to get up and then the bus driver got into an argument with the victim. Things got out of hand the two started fighting," said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity, as he is not authorized to speak to the media.
The police said that Kumar and the bus driver entered into an argument following the accident. The driver informed the bus owner about the incident after which he came to the spot.
During the argument, the owner allegedly took out a firearm and allegedly opened fire at Kumar. Kumar suffered minor injuries in the incident. The police said that one of the bystanders then informed the PCR who immediately reached to the spot. But by then the driver and the owner had fled from the incident.
The police have impounded the bus and registered a case against the accused.
