According to a police officer, the girl’s mother said she had scolded her daughter for not having dinner and they had had an argument over it.

“The girl’s mother said her daughter was health conscious and wanted to have only healthy food. On Sunday night, Kiran’s mother gave her food but she refused as she was not in a mood to eat it. Kiran’s mother scolded her for not having her dinner after which the girl went to her room,” said the police officer.

Kiran’s parents kept calling her to come out of her room but when she did not respond for long, they went to check on her and found her hanging. “The girl was immediately rushed to a local hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival,” the officer said.
