The boy went missing on Friday, despite police protection to the family. The child’s mother had alleged that the boy went missing after he was threatened by two of the juveniles involved in the act.

A call was made to the police and a case of kidnapping was registered at the Prasad Nagar police station. “We cannot disclose about the place from where he was rescued,” said Vivek Kishore, DCP (central).

His family said the boy left his home, as he was scared to return fearing for his life. He started working at a tea stall in Karol Bagh and refused to tell them his whereabouts. On Monday, he was located and handed over to his family.

The sexual abuse was reported on September 17, when their mother Rajkumari (name changed) informed one of her neighbours that her 21-year-old daughter and two sons — aged 7 and 10 years — were raped and sodomised by their cab driver Lalit Ratawal (32) and the four juveniles for months.

Though the mother came to know about it seven months later, she was threatened with dire consequences when she confronted the accused. She kept silent for a week before reporting the matter to police.
