Sri Lanka on Wednesday said that it will look at "positively" any request from India for extradition of LTTE chief V Prabhakaran.
"The government's stand is that if there is a request, certainly that will have to be looked at very seriously. I would say even positively," Sri Lankan High Commissioner in India C R Jayasinghe told TimesNow TV.
The Lankan security forces, who have launched massive strikes at LTTE-held regions, are closing in on their last stronghold of Mullaitivu.
India has made several requests to Sri Lanka to hand over Prabhakaran to face trial here in connection with the killing former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
