The brother-in-law of flesh trade kingpin Sonu Punjaban was arrested on July 28 for jumping parole while serving a life sentence in a murder case and a revolver with two live cartridges were recovered from his possession, police said on Saturday.

“Satish Arora (35) was arrested from his relative’s house in Mehrauli’s Chattarpur area on a tip off,” said Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south).
According to police, in 1996, the Rohtak resident along with his brother Vijay murdered one Harjinder who they believed often passed lewd remarks at their sister, who was a student at the time, the police said.
Vijay, Sonu Punjaban’s husband, was killed in a police encounter, the police added.
On June 22, Arora was released from Karnal district jail in Haryana for parole which extended till July 21. He was granted parole after he requested time to secure school admission for his children, police said.
