According to police, in 1996, the Rohtak resident along with his brother Vijay murdered one Harjinder who they believed often passed lewd remarks at their sister, who was a student at the time, the police said.

Vijay, Sonu Punjaban’s husband, was killed in a police encounter, the police added.

On June 22, Arora was released from Karnal district jail in Haryana for parole which extended till July 21. He was granted parole after he requested time to secure school admission for his children, police said.

However, instead of surrendering to the police on the said date, he fled from home and came to Delhi. HTC
