Meera Agarwal, Mayor, North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Delhi government for allegedly deliberately blocking the release of funds to the corporation.
But her complaint did not go unanswered as the Delhi government sanctioned Rs. 109.71 crore to the corporation the same day.
Agarwal had said that the Delhi government has not released global share of unified Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) from December 2011 to March 2012 and transfer duty amounting to Rs. 386 crore for the same period.
