St Mary’s School, Dwarka hosted a delegation from Laneshaw Bridge Primary School, Lanacshire as part of UKIERI.
Principal Sheelu Mathew and Headmistress Seema Bali welcomed Head Teacher Eileen Beasdale along with five other teachers and a number of discussions, demonstrations and workshops were held regarding curriculum and teaching methodology.
DLDAV School, Pitampura Principal Anita Wadehra and Counsellor Purnima Khanna, with some other principals of other schools visited Japan on an Exchange Programme sponsored by APU (Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University). The visit facilitated higher educational avenues for students with Commerce and Humanities background as a part of career guidance programme for outgoing Class XII. The team interacted with officials of the university, observed the study environment and studied the future prospects of students abroad.
Cambridge Schools, run by the Society of Advancement of Education have been selected to send in their teachers as experts for 3 subjects, to develop educational material for open and distance learning. Cambridge Schools have been working for the cause of quality education since 1931. AK Bakshi, Mathematics, Manvir Singh Rana, Business Studies from Cambridge School, Noida and Anjali Khullar from Cambridge School, Srinivaspuri attended the first workshop on ‘Capacity Development’ at National Institute of Open Learning (NIOS) Campus, Noida. The three experts are involved in development of high quality, student friendly resource material in Mathematics, Business Studies and History for Open and distance learning for students and tutors.
NK Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka celebrated its two-day Annual Fest, ‘Trishna’. The fest has been envisaged to provide a platform for the students from all the schools to exhibit their talents and creativity in various fields and was inaugurated by Gp Capt HS Sassan, Commanding Officer 27 ED Air Force. Principal, Dr Rajee N Kumar welcomed Seema Dundhiya, Commdt CRPF and the judges. The various competitions for the day were Rhythmic Rhyme, Mime, Techno Canvas etc.
The second day started with a plethora of activities viz., Math-O- Wizard, quiz on French for beginners, Sanskrit Mantra recitation, Verbal Duel. The best speaker trophy was bagged by Abhishek Sharma of the host School. The fest culminated with a short cultural programme. Chief Guest, Joginder Singh, former CBI director appreciated the school in bringing together a plethora of activities under one canopy. Chairman NK Bagrodia along with the Chief Guest distributed prizes to the winners.
