Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and former Delhi chief minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday addressed a BJP “Karyakarta Sammelan” in west Delhi’s Naraina.
The party will organize such conventions in each of its 280 blocks in Delhi to mobilise its cadre for the upcoming Assembly elections in the next few days.
Swaraj called upon the party workers to ensure that the common people — who she claimed were completely fed up with the Congress rule — should reach the polling booths on the day of election and cast their votes.
“The general mood of the people is totally against Congress. The people of Delhi are fed up with 15 years of misrule by the Congress in the city and want a change. The BJP workers need to ensure that this change is brought about by effectively converting anger of these people into votes,” Swaraj said.
