If you have booked your ticket with Air India and your flight is scheduled to take off after Wednesday midnight, head straight to Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Wednesday night onwards, Air India is shifting its entire operation from Terminal 1A to Terminal 3 (T3).

The Air India chief managing director, Arvind Jadhav, reportedly spent a night at T3 to assess the situation.

The civil aviation minister, Praful Patel, had also visited T3 on Tuesday.

"On November 11, 00:01 onwards, Air India flights will operate from Terminal 3. The passengers are advised to reach T3," said an Air India spokesman.

Ever since Air India shifted its operations partially to Terminal 3, passengers were witnessing utter chaos.

The worst affected were those who had come to the Delhi airport to board connecting flights.

"I had booked by ticket from Amritsar to Delhi by an Air India flight that got delayed. I had to go to Frankfurt by another flight but I couldn't reach Delhi on time and missed the flight. Now the airline officials have also expressed their helplessness," said Pramod, who was travelling with his brother.

Pramod wasn't the only one complaining.

"I had a flight to Delhi from Bangalore at 5 pm on Monday. This meant I had to reach the airport at 3 pm. The Bangalore-Delhi flight got delayed and I reached Delhi at midnight," said Meera Ramchand, who was travelling to Toronto with Air India.
