Krishna, who worked as a compounder at Dr Rajesh Talwar’s clinic, was subjected to a lie detector test on Monday. The test was conducted at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
Krishna, a Nepali, was said to be close to Talwar’s domestic help, Hemraj. Sources said Hemraj had allegedly told Krishna a lot of things about the family and also that he feared for his life.
Krishna’s lie-detector test assumes significance in the light of the CBI investigation pointing to the role of two persons in the murder. “Though he hasn’t been arrested, the lie detector more or less confirms the fact that the agency is treating him as a suspect,” an investigating official said.
Krishna, who has been questioned a number of times in the last few days, has reportedly been giving contradictory statements. “He was very close to Talwar. Hemraj also confided in him,” the official said.
“There seemed to be some deception in the answers but a final opinion would be taken only when the official report would be handed over by CFSL,” he said.
The CBI has written to major newspapers and news agencies requesting them to provide photographs relating to the coverage of the murder case.
“It is requested that photographs relating to the scene of crime relating to the first two days coverage till the discovery of the dead body of Hemraj taken by your photographers may be provided urgently to us,” an official communique from the CBI to photo editors said.
Meanwhile, Dr Rajesh Talwar’s bail application comes up for hearing in a Ghaziabad court on Tuesday. If the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) decides to oppose the bail plea, they would have to provide reasons why they would like Talwar to continue in judicial custody.
This would mean that the agency would have to share with the court what has come out in their investigation so far.
