Teachers, students walk the talk on climate change

Climate change is not just the concern of world leaders, but teachers and students too are equally worried about the planet.

This is what brought 80 delegates — teachers and students — from 28 Asian and European countries together on Saturday.

While spreading the word seemed to be the mantra for most of the participants at the Ninth Asia-Europe Classroom Network Conference on Climate and Biodiversity, others felt most people don’t walk the talk.

“It is not just the duty of world leaders to come up with solutions to save the planet, but educationists can also bring a great deal of change,” said Aarti Khosla, senior manager, programme communications and campaigns of WWF India.
